New York is prepared to face anynatural disaster?

There is a chance that a big hurricane or Tsunami could hit New
York. New York City is considered as capital of the world but we are prepared
to resist any impact as Hurricane Katrina or Japan Tsunami. New York City is a
big metropolis and the government should think that a disaster like in New
Orleans could happen in NYC.

We can image a disaster in this city that is not prepared,
water will be, contaminated water, and evacuation will be a completely chaos in
a city of 8 million people. As future architects we should think in plan of
evacuation, plan of how to resist some of the impact of Tsunami plan of post
disaster.

Hi my classmates!!!

thank you very much for helping me all that time and i am sorry to make you confusion on friday class (always!?).. as you know i had to reconsider my incomplete thesis statement and i finally decided. since i have changed my statement AGAIN, please feel free to comment, advise, criticize me!!! you all help my development.

i think i should stick at the earthquake in sendai, japan and i am not going to focus on shelter which i may say "utilitarian architecture" but substitution of traditional architecture.
